THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO LAW SCHOOL — Eight University of Chicago Law School students traveled to Switzerland and Denmark in December as part of the 2021-2022 International Immersion Program, which offers Law School students a chance to learn about international and comparative law through immersive international experiences. The combined Switzerland/Denmark trip, which was taken in accordance with all University of Chicago and government health and safety protocol, covered various topics with a focus on international law and international organizations. Professor Tom Ginsburg, the Leo Spitz Professor of International Law, accompanied the students. The participating students were: Caitlan Sussman, ’22; Avera Dorsey, ’23; Camille N’Diaye-Muller, JD/MBA ’24; Delaney Prunty, ’22; Ariana Vaisey, ’23; Kim Johnson, ’22; Evan De Ycaza, ’22; and Josh Sullivan, ’22. The Law School launched the International Immersion Program in February 2012 to provide support to students seeking substantive, immersive international experiences and to help prepare them to enter an increasingly globalized profession. Since the program began, hundreds of students have traveled to Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America to meet with policymakers, judges, alumni, law students, and other professionals working in government, law firms, business, and international organizations.
