Overview
The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) is committed to fostering greater dialogue between the nation’s law schools and its leading law firms. The Association has established a Law Firm Leadership Circle to recognize firms that are committed to engaging more deeply with the legal academy. The Leadership Circle is a unique opportunity for law firms to demonstrate their commitment to protecting the Association’s core values of educational excellence and improving the caliber of teaching, scholarship, and service that have made American law schools internationally renowned.
The Leadership Circle supports the efforts of the AALS and its 176 member-law schools by providing financial support for the work of the AALS to provide services that benefit all law faculty, deans, and students. The Leadership Circle helps AALS to continue its critical work in professional development, meetings, and research.
Leadership Circle members receive timely communications and briefings about law school activities and programs, and they are invited to meetings to discuss trends and issues in legal education, including the Annual Meeting Bar & Bench activities. Circle members are acknowledged at the Annual Meeting and in the AALS communications materials and recognized among members of the legal academy for their commitment to legal education. In turn, Circle members are encouraged to be goodwill ambassadors for the Association.
