ABA releases bar exam pass data for 2020 law graduates

AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION — The Managing Director’s Office of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar released today a new set of bar passage data outcomes for ABA-approved law schools that provides national “ultimate” and first-time pass rates based on race, ethnicity and gender.

Virginia Law deans recommend adoption of the Uniform Bar Examination in the state

New York State Bar Association task force asks state to drop Uniform Bar Examination and create new test

ABA JOURNAL — A task force of the New York State Bar Association has recommended that the jurisdiction adopt its own bar exam and stop using the uniform bar exam, which is developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners. The recommendations were approved by the bar association’s house of delegates June 12.

ABA announces LGBTQ Public Interest scholarship recipients

National Conference of Bar Examiners reverts to in-person only bar exams in 2022

ABA JOURNAL — Law grads taking bar exams developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners next year should expect to take the test in person. The NCBE announced Tuesday that its test materials will be made available to jurisdictions only in an in-person form beginning in February 2022.
