FORDHAM LAW — On March 11, Fordham’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) won National Chapter of the Year at the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA)’s 55th Annual Awards Gala. The national organization acknowledged the Fordham Law chapter for its execution of more than 55 programs, fundraising efforts, mock interview programs, commitment to professional development, partnership with Vinson & Elkins for an inaugural mentorship program, community service partnership with The Fortune Society, and its reinstatement of the Ruth Whitehead Whaley book scholarship. The chapter was also recognized for its engagement with NBLSA initiatives, including hosting the Northeast Sub-Region of NBLSA’s Leadership Retreat in August, where over 100 BLSA leaders participated, as well as co-coordinating a film screening with CUNY School of Law.
