Over the last three years, AALS has been offering more virtual learning opportunities including the entire Faculty Focus webinar series. The entire series is available on-demand to faculty and professional staff of AALS member schools.
Beginning in June 2020, the Faculty Focus webinar series was designed to support early-career law professors, though many of the sessions apply to all teachers at any stage of their career. Each webinar is moderated by AALS leadership and features faculty experts from schools around the country on various topics. The fall 2022 series focused on issues facing mid-career faculty.
In early November, AALS wrapped its most recent Faculty Focus series with the session “Tips for the Lateral Market and Obtaining a Visiting Professorship.” The series also featured “How to Make Productive Use of a Sabbatical or a Leave of Absence” on October 6 and “How Experienced Faculty Can Renew Their Passion for Teaching, Scholarship, and Service” on October 13. These sessions, as well as all 20 past Faculty Focus webinars, are available on-demand at
