Currently, Alysons serves as Head of Instruction at the University of Houston Law Center’s O’Quinn Law Library. In this role, she develops curricular goals for, administer, and assess the library’s instructional programming. As a lecturer within the law school, she also teach legal research to first-year and upper-level law students.

Previously, she served as Fordham Law School Maloney Law Library’s Instructional Services Librarian, where she developed curricular goals for, administered, and assessed the library’s instructional programs for first-year, upper-level, and LLM students. In this roll, she provided one-on-one and group trainings for other teaching librarians on best practices in instructional design and evidence-based teaching, worked with other instructors on developing in-class materials and assessments, and developed law practice technology programming for Fordham law students. She also taught a variety of legal research courses as an adjunct faculty member; participated in the faculty liaison program, acquisitions committee, and collection development committee work; and provided referenced assistance to the Fordham Law community. Prior to that, she served as the Assistant Director for Operations & Educational Programming and Director of the Excellence in Legal Research Program at the Texas Tech University Law School Library, where she managed the public services, instructional services, and student services activities in the library and taught in the first year research workshops, as well as upper-level courses in Texas Legal Research and Foreign, Comparative, and International Law courses as an adjunct professor of law.

Alyson is a graduate of William & Mary’s Marshall-Wythe Law School, the University of Maryland’s College of Information Science, and Nazareth College.
