FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LAW — Salesia V. Smith-Gordon has made history yet again at the Florida State University College of Law. Her recent pledge of $200,000 to endow the Salesia V. Smith-Gordon Endowment Fund makes her the first Black alumna to make a gift of this magnitude and the first to have her portrait installed in the college’s rotunda. Smith-Gordon’s impact is two-fold—her gift will support cultural diversity programs and scholarships for Black law students, and her portrait will be a lasting reminder of representation and limitless possibilities for these students.
