CROOKSTON TIMES — Brink Lawyers PA recently announced that Brooke Bergeron of Crookston is the winner of the Spring 2022 Brink Laywers University of North Dakota Law Scholarship. Bergeron is a second-year law student at the UND School of Law and currently serves as President of the Rural Practice Association, Treasurer of the Law Women’s Caucus, and is a member of the Criminal Law Association and Phi Delta Phi (International Legal Honor Society.) This past summer she worked as a legal extern at the Walsh County State’s Attorney’s Office in Grafton, ND. During that externship, Bergeron obtained her student practice papers and got experience prosecuting her own cases in the courtroom. Bergeron obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science in December of 2019 from Minnesota State University Moorhead, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 grade point average. During high school and college, Ms. Bergeron worked as a legal assistant at the law firm of Fischer, Rust, Stock & Rust, PLLC in Crookston. Ms. Bergeron is the daughter of Randy and Jody Bergeron of Crookston, Minnesota, and a 2016 graduate of Crookston High School. Brooke plans to graduate from UND School of Law in spring of 2023 and then sit the summer 2023 bar exam.
