ALBANY LAW SCHOOL — Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack ’75 will speak at the launch event for Albany Law School’s newest online graduate program, Government Affairs and Advocacy, on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m. He will attend the event virtually. After serving for eight years as head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) during the Obama administration, Vilsack was asked to lead the department again by the Biden Administration last year. Between the assignments he served as the president and CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC). He also previously served two terms as the governor of Iowa. The in-person portion of the event will be held in the Dean Alexander Moot Courtroom. Albany Law School President and Dean Alicia Ouellette ’94 and Director of the Government Law Center and former New York State Court of Appeals Justice Leslie Stein ’81 will also speak.
