We hope the 2022 AALS Annual Meeting: Freedom, Equality, and the Common Good will be an event to remember, as we look forward to the first virtual sessions beginning in just a few weeks. Attendees will hear from leaders in legal academia and the legal profession, enjoy section networking events, and participate in a full range of sessions including panels, works-in-progress, and discussion groups.
Sessions will take place each day between 11 am—6 pm Eastern/8 am–3 pm Pacific. Most sessions will be recorded and made available to stream shortly after the meeting.
Many law school faculty and staff have already had their registration fee paid by their school; if your school opted not to accept the school rate, you may register as an individual for $295. If you have not already done so, register now! The last day to register is December 22.

AALS PRESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Michael J. Sandel, the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University will be the keynote speaker for our Presidential Program. He will offer a brief overview of his book, The Tyranny of Merit: Can We Find the Common Good?, followed by a panel discussion and questions from the audience.
As we emerge from the pandemic and begin to address the social, economic, and political turmoil left in its wake, I offer the theme Freedom, Equality, and the Common Good as an opportunity to consider how our legal system will engage the realities of a post-pandemic world.
The Annual Meeting will explore these concepts and more over five days of sessions focused on global issues, current events in legal education and the law, pedagogy, and institutional advancement. The program will be updated continually as we add more sessions and speakers.
