The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss current hiring challenges and share best practices for holding virtual and in-person hiring interviews, call backs, and job talks. This will be the fourth year of this well-attended workshop, and previous participants have found it a good way to connect with other hiring committees in the absence of an in-person hiring conference.
The workshop will begin with a panel discussion between a former faculty hiring chair, a recent faculty hire, law school deans, and Dr. Arin Reeves, a researcher, educator, author, facilitator, and expert on leadership and workplace culture, including best inclusive practices for the recruitment and retention of law school faculty. Panelists will share their recent experiences with the job market and ideas for improving the process. Participants will then join break-out discussions to allow appointments committee members to share their own reflections, experiences, and ideas.
